What is wellbeing?
People often ask what is wellbeing? Dr Vicky Sully believes that all people are resilient, indeed it is something that we excel and arguably that is the primary reason why there are currently billions of us on the planet. We have mastered being able to adapt, pick ourselves up and endure hard times. However, work can present barriers to being able to use our resilience effectively. It might be heavy workloads, adjusting to changes in the organisation or external factors.
Dr Vicky Sully is inspired by the wealth of good quality psychological research that states when employees have good mental health businesses not only save money but make more money. By reducing stress related illness, presentism and lower motivation, workplaces thrive and grow.
When businesses are proactive rather than reactive to workplace well-being they will ultimately be more successful. We provide our services at the times you need them so the impact of metal health issues can be overcome and do not continue to negatively impact employees and organisations.
By removing the stigma around mental health and talking openly about it, employees learn and find out ways to improve their mental health. We use scientific principles behind positive and organisational psychology to shape our interventions, this way not only are good outcomes achieved but they are also sustainable.
